Pop’N Hop with Scrap’N Stamp Blog Hop

67296428_10156203217355474_5452352796340781056_nHey guys! I am so excited to share these fun pop-up cards for the August Scrap’N Stamp Blog Hop.  Be sure that you comment on each blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate!

These precut card kits are a fantastic way to make a big impression with your cards. They are simple to use and come in two different sizes. The A2 size pop-up card measures 4.25″ x 5.5″ and the Square pop-up card is 5.75″ x 5.75″. Both cards fold flat for mailing.  You can also use the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up Die set or if you have a Silhouette machine you can easily find cut files online.

I ended up creating 3 cards. Two are the A2 size box cards which works well for smaller stamp images and one is the larger square size which gives you a bit more room horizontally to create your scene. The first stamp set I used was the Holiday Helpers from Lawn Fawn. This set is adorable and the perfect size to create this scene. For all the images I am using today I will stamp them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Crafter’s Companion Ultra Smooth White Cardstock as I will be doing Copic Colouring.

I then will use my Silhouette machine to create custom pattern paper panels.  If you don’t have a Silhouette machine you can just measure the panels and cut any pattern paper down to size.  I cut six panels measuring 2.5″ x 2″ and one panel measuring 5″ x 2″.  You will want to place the longer panel on the unscored panel of the card base.  This part is the back of the card.  I adhered this down with liquid adesive.

I then went ahead and adhered the other panels, 3 on the top and then I flipped the card over and adhered 3 down onto the bottom portion of the card.

I flip the card back over so that the tab is on the bottom left. I will then fold the tab inwards and apply Scor-Tape onto the tab and fold over the right side of the card towards the tab adhering the two pieces together. This sounds a bit tricky…if you get stuck, you can head over to the YouTube video to watch how it works.Screen Shot 2019-07-27 at 9.20.20 PM.pngI can now fold the upper flaps down and begin decorating the back panel. I will also insert the tabs into the box portion of the card. I again use Scor-Tape to ensure a strong hold. the kit comes with 3 tabs, however, you don’t have to use all three if you don’t want to.Screen Shot 2019-07-27 at 9.25.14 PM.pngIt is now time to create the scene and add your embelishments. I cut some thing strips of acetate and adhered the images onto the tabs. The tree is from Simon Says Stamp Christmas Squad and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas. Here is a look at the first finished card.

For my second card I used the larger rectangle card. I decided instead of adding patterned paper on the panels I would ink blend with Distress Inks. The colours I used are Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord and Black Soot. I then sprayed it with some Iridescent Shimmer Spray to help give the galaxy and star look. I assembled the card as above, this time only using two of the tabs. (If I was to do this card again, I would make sure I ink blende both sides of the tabs). I then stamp and colour some cute monster images from Clearly Besotted’s Out of this World set and stamp the sentiment with Versamark ink and emboss with white embossing powder. I attach the critters in the same fashion as I did on the first card and added some Wink of Stella to the star, rocket ship, ring on the planet and the spaceship. Here is a look at that finished card.

For my last card I used the Keep on Swimming and Say What? Pets set from Lawn Fawn and completed the exact same steps as in the first card. The sentiment was stamped using the Versaclaire Nocturne Ink. Here is the finished looked.
